Why hire a professional organizer?

The goal of a professional organizer is to help you get your house functioning smoothly, whether it’s taking care of clutter, helping with paper or time management, or setting up a house after a move.  If your home is more stressful than peaceful, a professional organizer can help you discover what the issue is and help you solve the problem.  One important aspect of professional organizing is to help clients learn some strategies that can keep working for them.   I invite you to click on Services and read through all the things I can help you with.  I think you’ll be surprised at the wide range of services a professional organizer provides.

Are you a member of an organization for professional organizers?

Yes, I’m a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO).

How do I get started?

First contact me by either filling in the contact form, emailing me at bev@genesishomeorganizing.com, or phoning me at 512-966-0046.  Then I will set up a free one-hour consultation where I can listen to what your needs are and make an action plan.  At that time, I will be better able to assess costs and supplies we might need.

Where do you provide services?

I’m available in Travis, Williamson, and Bell counties.

Do I need to be there?

There are times when I can work independently in your home, but I prefer you to be there so that we can make decisions as a team.

Do I need to  buy supplies?

I will provide cardboard boxes as needed and try to use what you have on hand.  If we decide that we need more containers or shelves, we can shop together for them or you can buy them yourself.  You would be responsible for any purchases.

Are you going to make me throw things out?

You will be the one making the final decisions.  I might make recommendations or provide you with a framework for making your decisions.

How do I pay?

Payment is expected at the time of service.  I take cash, check, debit, or credit cards.

What if I can’t stay organized?

No one stays completely organized at all times.  If you feel yourself going backwards, give me a call.  I also provide follow-up services if you choose to have them.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?

Please cancel within 24 hours.  If you have an emergency, let me know; otherwise, you will be charged for 1/2 of the session price.

Do you provide confidentiality?

Absolutely!  I respect your privacy and all information received from you is confidential.
